1. Okay so browsing through my bookmarks of favorite blogs I came across thismodernromance and was reminded of how stunning and truly romantic is the work of this husband + wife team of photographers. I insist, you must browse their portfolio of latest work for a dose of this sweetness!
2. Last month Hospitality Design Magazine released their 2011 Design Awards and this laid-back industrial-cool New York spot stole a Best Green/Sustainable Project Award. Bell Book & Candle, designed by Grade Architecture & Interior Design, has an aeroponic roof-top tower garden where they grow 60% of the fresh produce that goes into their dishes. Their menus also constantly change according to what’s growing upstairs. Talk about vertical farming!
3. So last but not least, while shopping for a client on my day job this week I spruced on up into this gorgeous store in Miami’s Design District only to find an amazing collection of the most beautiful and sophisticated furniture and accessories! Even if you have no plans to purchase it’s honestly worth a “window-shop” for any interior-design enthusiast! Michael Dawkins Home.

So over the past year the West Coast Food Truck Frenzy has made its way into the streets of Miami. Originating from the numerous loncheras that served typical Mexican dishes in Southern California, the food trucks expanded the concept by creating mini gourmet restaurants on wheels that serve very affordable meals at street food prices. The idea exploded and now they can be seen all over town!

Not sure if your craving Burgers or Mexican, well not both at the same time! Thats right Miami foodies, you can get Latin Burger Truck’s gourmet fusion of Mexican and American flavors in a big juicy burger.

Jefe’s Original Fish Taco & Burgers is a mobile food truck serving the Miami-Dade Metropolitan area of south eastern Florida. The signature food items are, the original Ensenada-style Fish Tacos and the All-American Burger.
Prices: $3 – $5
Mmm craving some gourmet American favorites. Well gastroPod has them all, like Sloppy Joe’s (Sloppy Jose), Hot Dogs (Dirty Dawgs) and Burgers. Wanna find gastroPod its not hard just look for their bright and shiny Airstream.
Prices: $1 – $6
The mobile menu will include the best old school eats from Sakaya Kitchen and the popular “Dim Ssam Sundays” brunch. Dim Ssäm à gogo will also use natural beef, poultry and pork, organic dairy and support local farmers like Swank.Dim Ssäm à gogo will hit the streets for lunch, dinner & for late night party goers.

Alright so all you big culinary fans, have you been meaning to check out the “fine dining” scene in Miami but just don’t want to commit to the prices without having tried the goods? Well….. Months of August + September in Miami are MIAMI SPICE.
Here’s the deal: For the next two months the best restaurants in town will conjure up their newest and freshest delicacies in a three-course prix fixe meal ($22 Lunch, $35 Dinner) to allow diners to sample the restaurant’s cuisine at a more comfortable rate. This February I tried the Il Mulino in Aspen and ended up going back 3-4 times in the 1 week I spent there. The service was friendly and meticulous, the dishes were authentic though distinct in flavor while the execution of everything from the bread to the dessert was ridiculously on point. In other words, everything was perfect – every time. Phenomenal Italian.
